Frequently asked plan questions
- Is there a contract? Monthly Solo plans have no contract — cancel anytime. Annual plans are billed upfront and are non-refundable.
- Do I need a credit card to try MyDataWork? No. Our Explorer plan gives you 90 days of free access with no credit card required. You can upgrade to a paid plan anytime during your trial.
- What’s the difference between Explorer and the 14-day free trial on paid plans? Explorer is a separate plan — 90 days free, no credit card, but with usage limits (30 assets, 60 AI credits, 1 cloud source, 1 seat). The 14-day free trial on paid plans starts after you enter a credit card and gives you full paid-plan capacity (300+ assets, daily AI credits, all cloud sources, etc.) before your first charge. Pick Explorer if you want to try MyDataWork without commitment; pick a paid plan with a 14-day trial if you’re ready to use the full product.
- What if I need more than 10 seats? Contact us at contact@mydatawork.com to discuss custom pricing.
- What happens if I reach my plan’s asset limit? Your existing assets continue to work normally. New asset additions are blocked until you upgrade or remove unused assets. We notify you in advance when you reach 80% of your limit so you have time to decide.
- What happens if I use all my AI credits for the day? AI features pause until the next day, when credits reset automatically. All non-AI features remain fully available. On paid plans, you can purchase additional credits anytime from your billing page if you need more. (Explorer does not include credit purchases — upgrade to a paid plan to extend AI usage.)
- What happens at the end of my Explorer trial? Your workspace becomes read-only for 30 days. During that window you can subscribe to a paid plan to restore full access, or export all your work (PDF, PowerPoint, or JSON). After 30 days, the workspace data is permanently deleted, though your account stays active and you can subscribe at any time to start a fresh workspace. We send email reminders 7 days before your trial ends and 3 days before deletion so nothing comes as a surprise.
- What happens at the end of my 14-day paid-plan trial? If you’ve entered a credit card and are on the 14-day trial of a paid plan, your card is charged automatically at the end of the trial and your workspace continues uninterrupted on the paid plan. You can cancel anytime during the trial to avoid the charge. If you cancel, access continues to the end of the trial period.
- Can I have more than one Explorer trial? No — Explorer is limited to one trial per email address, ever. If you’d like to try MyDataWork again after an Explorer trial, you can subscribe to a paid plan (which includes its own 14-day free trial).
- How does data security/privacy work? All plans include metadata-only scanning. Your data stays in your sources.
- What is the cancellation/refund policy? Cancel anytime via Manage billing — access continues to the end of your billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable. Your workspace data is preserved if you resubscribe later.
- What kind of support is included? All plans are self-service via extensive in-app help, thorough documentation you can see here, and the AI chatbot assistant. For questions you can’t resolve yourself, email support@mydatawork.com — we aim to respond within 2 business days.
